How Habitude is Helping to Save Momma Earth

Habitude and Aveda

Global Cut-A-Thon for Clean Water!

This EARTH DAY, please join Habitude in cooperation with Aveda, in our endeavor to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records. We are aiming high this year! Habitude and other Aveda salons in cities across the globe like Sydney, New York, and London are collectively trying for most money raised for charity by haircuts in a 24 hour period. We are so excited for this opportunity to take part in an event that will bring world wide awareness to Earth Day, and contribute to providing clean water to people across the globe.

This event is one of many fun events that we have planned here at Habitude, in order to contribute to Aveda’s goal of raising $5 million dollars for clean water charities in April 2013.

We are currently signing up guests for $25 haircuts that will  take place at our Fremont location on April 22nd. All proceeds from this event go to Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, who we have partnered with again this year. Their mission is one that is dear to all of our hearts here in the Great Northwest. Puget Sound is an amazingly beautiful body of water, with a wide variety of plant and animal life.

To make your reservation for a chance to be part of this record breaking event, by getting a fantastic haircut from one out our talented volunteer stylists, please call one of our friendly representatives at (206) 782-2898. We look forward to seeing you there! Happy Earth Month!

Aveda Light the Way to Madagascar

Madagascar! A beautiful country and island off the east coast of Africa, abundant in vegetation and wildlife, and the focus of Aveda’s Light the Way candle campaign this year. Aveda has brought us a delightful new scent, that not only smells amazing, but 100% of the proceeds go to benefit the Global Greengrants Fund. By purchasing this candle for $12 you are supporting communities in Madagascar, and all over the world, in endeavors to deliver and create clean water.

With these candles, Aveda is also encouraging environmental farming practices by using essential oils that are 100% derived from organic ingredients, and clean burning soy wax.

The packaging this year is adorned with adorable pictures, drawn by children from the village of Ampasimanjeva in Madagascar, and as always come in a container made 100% out of reclaimed glass drinking containers. These candles are a wonderful journey into the senses, featuring vanilla, cinnamon and ylang ylang aromas; they are a great way to contribute to the cause this Earth Month 2013!
