A full-service salon that delivers what most brochures only promise—in a very aromatic stay.

The Experience
The outdoors is brought indoors by this Ballard spa with dark wood, plants, a waterfall and colors from the earth and ocean. While the main salon is light and airy, the spa itself is cozy and dimly lit. Niceties like fruit and herbal teas are available between treatments, as is the sauna. Aveda products are used exclusively, some of which are wonderful. Others—especially the hair products—can smell like industrial cleaners.

What to Get
The package that includes a massage and hydrating salt glow. It'll leave you as relaxed as a stick of melted margarine.

What You'll Spend
Several packages run $150—giving you about three hours of pampering. The Works is $240; add $70 for a manicure and pedicure. Haircuts start at $32.

You'll Want to Know
Don't worry about bringing your makeup bag—a complimentary touchup comes with any service.

Don't Stress Over Parking
Arrive a bit early, since parking is at a premium.

Shop for Art
The salon has rotating art exhibits and is the founder of the Second Saturday Art Walk on Ballard Avenue, 7pm to 10pm.
